COURIER EXPRESS PARCEL (CEP) INDUSTRY
Our ANTARES Put to light system can be used for parcel sortation in the courier express parcel (CEP) industries where larger quantities of products are divided into individual customer orders using the light modules. This is often referred as “scan and sort”, the parcels are batch picked and brought to a put station where the operator scans the barcode of the individual products, the light illuminates and guides the operator to put it in the rack.
Operator scans the barcode of the shipment. The destination is either fetched from the barcode or from a connected database.
The light on the rack illuminates guiding the operator to put the shipment in the bag location.
The operator puts the item in the bag and presses the confirmation button.
When the bag is filled, the close barcode is scanned and the printer generated label is pasted on the filled bag.
